We are aiming to resume driving lessons from mid-February 2021
Depending on confirmation from the Government as to when the third national lockdown measures will be eased, we hope to begin offering driving lessons again from mid-February.
We are waiting for the DVSA to confirm further details and will update this page as soon as we hear anything.
Covid-19 policies and procedures
In-between the first, second and third lockdowns we have been able to safely deliver hundreds of lessons across Norfolk and Suffolk.
In preparation for the first reopening, our instructors underwent a special online training course to learn how to prevent the spread of Covid-19. As a result, our team were able to safely deliver lessons without creating unnecessary risk.
Our cars have always been the shiniest on the block but since July we have taken extra care to ensure surfaces are sanitised between each lesson. We also have also ensured that face coverings are worn by both instructors and pupils. Other precautions were also put in place, such as temperature/symptom checking and enforcement of adequate air circulation inside the cockpit.
We have an up-to-date risk assessment in place. In preparation for our third re-opening in February, we will continue to review our practices and policies in line with current government guidance.
Can key workers still take driving lessons?
During the first lockdown we were still able to offer driving lessons to key workers. However, the DVSA are not able to offer tests to key workers this time around. For that reason, we are not able to offer any key worker lessons until our school reopens.
Practical and theory tests are still suspended by DVSA
Yet again, the DVSA have also suspended both theory and practical driving tests for everyone. They will contact you directly via email to reschedule any tests that were due over the lockdown period.
Our driving lesson gift vouchers are still available
If you need a fantastic gift idea for a loved one, our gift vouchers are still available to buy. Driving lesson vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of sale – but we will extend the expiry date by the length of this and any further lockdown periods.
Stay safe in these uncertain times
We very much look forward to getting behind the wheel again with you as soon as possible. In the meantime, we want to wish all our pupils and colleagues continuing good health and hope that you all stay safe.
If you have any questions about our coronavirus policy or procedures, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
